KARLSRUHE (Germany): Sweden’s Susanna Kallur set a new indoor world record here on Sunday when she clocked 7.68 over the 60m hurdles, but there was disappointment for Cuba’s Dayron Robles at the Karlsruhe international meet.

The 26-year-old Kallur beat the old record of 7.69 set by compatriot Ludmila Enqvist in Chelyabinsk, Russia, in 1990.

But Cuba’s Robles was left disappointed earlier when his second attempt this weekend at breaking Colin Jackson’s 14-year indoor world record for the 60m hurdles again ended in failure.

Robles won in a time of 7.41, against a field which included former World and Olympic champion Allen Johnson, having ran 7.33 – the fastest time in the world this season – on Friday evening at an indoor event in Dusseldorf.
